Rules
1. Participation: The European Interbank Golf Meeting is open to golf players who are active staff members or pensioners of a bank or banking association.
Players allowed to participate must be amateurs in possession of a handicap, registered with their country’s golf federation and regular member of a golf club affiliated with the golf federation.
2. Registration: Each bank may register one or more teams, composed of two or three players. A bank may also register only one player. In this case, the player competes for the individual ranking only.
At the moment of registration via internet (www.eurogolfmeeting.it) the team leader must declare that all players belong to the institution he represents. Furthermore, the players’ golf club, their EGA-handicap, the number of their ID-card of the national golf federation and the date of birth must be indicated
A maximum of 160 players will be admit for each qualification day. Once that number has been reached, it will no longer be possible to register for that same day and an alternative qualification day has to be chosen.
No reimbursement of registrations fees for cancellations received after May 10.
3. Tournament and handicap: All competitions will be played over 18 holes stableford in 3 categories of handicap (EGA Playing Handicap 0-12, 13-20, 21-26).
The maximum playing handicap admitted will be 26. Players with a higher handicap will have to play with handicap 26. Handicap variations during the tournament week will not be take into account.
4. Qualifications: The qualification rounds will take place from Tuesday to Thursday on the Golf Club Asolo. Use of golf cart is admit only with medical certification, exception on Monday competition. On every day a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 18 teams (including the best gross team) – in proportion to the players registered – will qualify for the final. The team ranking will be based on the sum of the two best individual scores per team. In case of parity, the third player’s result will be added, in case of further parity, the sum of the last nine holes will be added, and in case of further parity the last six, three etc. It has allowed the use of instruments to measure distances or that can improve the game.
Furthermore, the three best players of each category, the best gross player, the 1st lady and the 1st senior will qualify for the final. These players will compete for the individual ranking, independently from the qualification of their team.
5. Final: The final will be play on Friday on the Golf Club Asolo.
The 39 best teams of the qualification rounds will be admit to the final. Furthermore will be admitted the 3 best players of each category, the best gross player, the 1st lady and the 1st senior of each qualification day.
6. Prizes:
Qualification: At the end of every qualification day prizes will be awarded to the 3 best players of each category, the best gross player, the 1st lady, the 1st senior, the “Longest drive” and the “Nearest to the pin”. Man and Women
Final:
Team ranking: Prizes will be awarded to the three teams with the best net results and to the team with the best gross result as well as to the single team members.
Individual ranking: All players compete also for the individual ranking, independently from their bank team. Prizes will be awarded to the 3 best players of each category, the best gross player, the 1st lady, the 1st senior, the “Longest drive” and the “Nearest to the pin”.
7. All competitions will be disputed according to the rules of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews and according to the local rules of the hosting golf course. In case of a tie, the rules of the host country’s Golf Federation will apply.
8. The Organisation Committee will in no way be liable for any injury to persons or damage to property, before, during or after the Meeting. Participants agree the publication of sensitive information and pictures of themselves and the use thereof by the sponsoring companies.
9. The Organisation Committee is allowed to make changes to the programme in case of force majeure.
